The New Era of AI+

By Charles Fan

New advances in deep learning technologies are creating seismic waves of changes in many fields, such as computer vision, speech recognition, translation, and the game of Go. With a relatively simple mathematical model, deep learning outperforms many other significantly more complex approaches. In this talk, I will explain how deep learning will reduce the need of algorithm experts, while increase the demand for more data and new computing infrastructure. You will see that what we are experiencing now is just the beginning. Gradually, deep learning will disrupt numerous industries, similar to what the Internet did in the last twenty years. As an example to illustrate its power, I will show you how deep learning introduces a new way of content distribution.
